We had the bride, the groom, ten bridesmaids, ten groomsmen, a flower girl and three page boys! So our wedding videography crew pulled out all stops to make sure that we got this one done right and most importantly done well.
The day started with Nilay and Andrew getting ready for their big day. We got to shoot beautiful sequences with Andrew getting dressed in his room right next to the portrait of his mother. We also shot extensive sequences of Nilay checking out her bridal gown.
Then we let both of them loosen up a little. Both of them had a huge group of friends helping them out. We wanted to keep the moments as fun as possible so we let the men be boys and women be girls. We got a lot of footage of them cheering, pulling each other's legs and sharing drinks as they were counting down to the final minutes ahead of the ceremony. After they got ready we took some portraits of them in their dresses. We also got the bride and groom squads for group photo and walk around sequence.
Ceremony
The bride and groom arrived at the Half Acre for the wedding ceremony in their respective limousines. The wedding ceremony started with Nilay's father giving her away. After the rings and vows were exchanged we got all the attendees for various sets of groups photo shoots. We also managed get loads of sequences of the couple with their friends before they headed for the reception.
Reception
The reception was also held at Half Acre. It kicked off with the bride and groom entering the hall with the crowd cheering them on. After the toast and cutting the cake the newlyweds stepped on to the dance floor.
We shot the entire dance sequence for slow motion based cinematic edit. After some time the DJ cracked up the music for rest of the guests to come in for a dance. It was a great room for us to shoot our video as they were all lively in their celebration. Before they were going to wind up we got Nilay and Andrew for some couple portraits at various locations at the venue itself before they set off for the night in a classy old school Chevy.
The Post Shoot Edit
We wanted to keep the highlights video as dynamic as possible so that it can be different from the other wedding videos that we have done. We played around with the time line rather than sticking to rigid structure. This helped us to give the wedding video a more easy vibe. We also chose the music for the video to keep the special moments mellowed while adding spunk to the more fun parts of the reception. [/textbox]
